Industrial water filtration systems
With the rapid development of the industry today, the use of industrial water filtration systems is becoming increasingly common. This is one of the perfect solutions for large households, residential areas, industrial zones, etc. Let's learn more about MIENNAMTEC in the following article!
1. What is an industrial water filtration system?
Industrial water filtration systems are designed for large-scale operation with powerful capacities, ranging from 150 liters/hour to 100,000 liters/hour. Currently, industrial water filtration systems meet the clean water needs of factories, businesses, restaurants, offices, apartment buildings, schools, hospitals, and large families.
Industrial water purifiers stand out for their ability to remove 95-99% of impurities, sediment, viruses, heavy metals, and harmful substances from water. This ensures that the filtered water meets the clean water standards QCVN6-1:2010/BYT of the Ministry of Health, making it safe for users.

Industrial water filtration systems are high-capacity water filtration devices that utilize modern technology.
2. The main advantages of industrial water filtration systems:
The advantages of industrial filter cores make this device a popular choice for many businesses:
2.1 Advantages of industrial water filtration equipment
The most significant advantage of industrial water filtration systems is their ability to produce ultrapure water, completely removing harmful substances. Furthermore, industrial water filters also add many beneficial minerals. The clean water, after undergoing multiple rigorous filtration processes, is stored in sealed, pressurized tanks, preventing contamination by bacteria and dirt.
In addition, industrial water filtration systems include various filtration devices with different specialized functions. Therefore, this equipment can filter any incoming water source, providing clean water that can be used directly according to standards. Moreover, using clean water from industrial filtration systems also extends the lifespan of the equipment, reduces malfunctions, and saves on replacement costs.
2.2 Output water standards of industrial filtration systems
Based on the Ministry of Health's QCVN 6-1:2010/BYT drinking water standard and WHO drinking water standards, MIENNAMTEC always advises customers on the most effective process by using intelligent microcontrollers with the highest level of automation. Industrial water filter cartridges not only ensure clean water for organizations and businesses of all sizes but are also designed with high aesthetic appeal. The filtered water is safe to drink directly without boiling, ensuring user health safety with the most optimal operating costs.
3. Basic structure of an industrial drinking water filtration system
Typically, an industrial drinking water filtration system will include the following components:
3.1 Primary Filters
The primary filters in a modern industrial water filtration system include:
- The first composite filter column contains quartz sand to remove large particles. Some systems may also include manganese sand for metal filtration.
- The second composite filter column contains activated carbon to remove residual chlorine and absorb toxins in the incoming water.
- The third composite filter column includes ion exchange resin to soften the water and filter out components that cause scale buildup.
- Two 20-inch filter housings contain 5-micron PP cotton fiber filter cartridges, removing particles larger than 5µm before entering the RO membrane.
Some industrial water filtration systems may utilize stainless steel filter housings with five filter cartridges, allowing the equipment to operate efficiently under high pressure and at high capacity.
3.2 Fine filters
The fine filter of the industrial water filtration system is equipped with a high-quality RO membrane and housed in a stainless steel or ceramic casing capable of withstanding high water pressure. Simultaneously, reverse osmosis technology is applied, ensuring the water meets the direct drinking water standards according to QCVN6-1:2010/BYT.

Industrial water filtration systems using RO membranes provide powerful disinfection and bacteria removal capabilities.
3.3 Control System
The control system of an industrial water treatment system includes circuit breakers, water quality meters, counters, indicator lights, etc., working together to ensure smooth and stable operation while protecting other electrical equipment.
3.4 Pumps
An industrial water filtration system can be equipped with multiple pumps, such as pumps for the pre-filter, pumps for the fine filter, pumps for the source water into the storage tank, and pumps for the purified water into the bottling system. Each type performs different functions and tasks. Among them, the pump for the fine filtration system, equipped with an RO membrane, plays the most important role as it directly affects the filtration efficiency of the entire system.
3.5 UV Sterilization Equipment
All industrial water filtration systems currently sold at MIENNAMTEC are equipped with UV sterilization equipment. This ingredient will help eliminate up to 99% of bacteria in water, providing users with clean, high-quality water.
4. Operating Process of Industrial Water Filtration Equipment:
Industrial water filtration equipment operates based on the following basic principle:
Step 1: Water from the input source is led into a large storage tank and pumped into the coarse filter of the water treatment system. Here, coarse impurities, organic matter, dissolved fats, and chlorine odor are removed. In addition, the cation filter removes water hardness, maintains the physical and chemical properties of the water, and provides a natural sweetness. Heavy metals and chemicals are completely removed in the third coarse filter column.
Step 2: After the coarse filtration process, the water goes to the fine filtration system, also known as the RO membrane filter, to remove ultrafine impurities that the previous filter could not handle. The remaining water is discharged through the wastewater outlet.
Step 3: The water is led to a booster pump and stored in a storage tank (if any).

5. Practical Applications of Industrial Water Filtration Systems
With many outstanding advantages, industrial water filtration systems are widely used in many different fields. Specifically:
- Applications in the production of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
- Providing drinking water and domestic water for organizations such as schools, hospitals, businesses with a large number of employees, and other organizations.
- Applications in food processing and manufacturing plants.
- Use in the production of pure ice.
